It’s you, hi
You have eleven thousand photos, excellent taste, and roughly four free minutes a day. Come sit by me.
Six Pics I Clicked drops every week: one essay, six photos, and whatever I’ve been completely obsessed with.
I’m Ana Gambuto. Writer, photographer of 19 years, mom of three, based in Sag Harbor and shooting across NYC and the Hamptons. I write about the life behind the camera: my day job as a professional portrait photographer, creative art projects for kids, ADHD tips, photo hacks for memory-makers, and dispatches from the glorious/insane East End.
The six images are my visual diary. Not a portfolio, not a mood board. Just the six photos that clicked for me this week. Sometimes I write about them. Sometimes I post them without explanation and let you take them in. A practice in paying attention to tiny things, in order to feel more lit up.
You come for the photos because you have a good eye and you’re not humble about it. You use your aesthetic to make daily life happier.
You come for the writing because it sounds like the inside of your brain. Maybe you’re an ADHD squirrel, like me. Maybe you just love perfect memes. Either way, you feel everything, you laugh too loud, and when something is genuinely true and specific, it does something to you.
You stay for the people. I’m building a community of us: photo-obsessed noticers who share this outlook on life. The oldest human need is a witness, someone to turn to and say “are you seeing this right now?” That’s what the comments are becoming, I love it so much. Readers trade finds, finish each other’s sentences, and text their besties mid-post because I told them to. The chat is activeeeeeee, shall we say. Come hang with us.
And remember, you can always just hit reply. You're a real person, I'm a real person, and I answer everyone who writes to me. The people part of this project has turned out to be my greatest joy. Stick around, and it'll be yours too.
Inside, you’ll unlock:
The Gasp Test: my whole system for figuring out what you actually love (no research, no justifying, one small internal ooh)
Photo hacks from 19 professional years, translated for parents with phone cameras and wiggly subjects
The five-second rituals that keep friendships, gratitude, and whimsy alive on a mom schedule
Year-rounder Hamptons intel: the daffodils, the scene, the ice cream worth the A1C conversation
Behind the scenes of real shoots, including what went wrong and why the un-posed frame won
One perfect meme per issue. This is a promise.
